MISSION STATEMENT
The Pat Hearn and Colin de Land Cancer Foundation is a not for profit corporation whose mission is to provide financial assistance for medical expenses to members of the visual arts community in the New York metropolitan area with cancer.

Financial grants are distributed to provide funds for medical services that improve the quality of life of individuals with cancer. These include standard conventional medical care, unconventional and experimental therapies, hospice care, palliative care, home care and medical care that are not otherwise covered by insurance. Grants are provided based upon demonstrated financial need and are limited to members of the visual arts community in the New York Metropolitan area.

Pat Hearn and her husband Colin de Land were both well-known and charismatic gallerists who were deeply loved and respected by the contemporary art world. Each of them possessed a unique combination of integrity, innovation and style and a tireless dedication to art and artists. Pat and Colin were two of the four New York art dealers who founded The Armory Show - The International Fair of New Art and its predecessor The Gramercy International Contemporary Art Fair. They both died of cancer in their early 40's. (See About Pat and Colin.)
